Ingredients
- For the Chicken Wings
2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ cup BBQ sauce (use honey BBQ for extra sweetness)
1 tbsp butter, melted (for added richness)
- For the Freedom Fries
3 large russet potatoes, sliced into fries
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika (adds smokiness)
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
½ cup ranch dressing
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange wings in a single layer on one half of the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, flip, and bake for another 20 minutes until crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce with melted butter. Brush the wings with the sauce mixture and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.
- In a bowl, toss fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Arrange in a single layer on the other half of the baking sheet or a separate one. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Transfer wings and fries to a large serving plate. Garnish fries with chopped parsley and serve with ranch for dipping.
Notes
- Serve hot with ranch dressing and an optional veggie platter. This patriotic platter pairs well with cold beverages and a side of coleslaw or corn on the cob!
